Day 1 : Siem Reap-Kulen Mountain

A quick dive into the Siem Reap countryside before get to Kulen Mountain.

Short on time? Just a few kilometres outside of Siem Reap, the countryside unfolds in front of you.

We are in Kulen Mountain in no time, swimming in the holy pools at the waterfall and paying our respects to the largest reclining Buddha statue in the country.  We also visit the thousand lingas, more carved river beds.   We continue to the old palace, recently discovered in the remote jungles here. This is the most sacred of mountains.  We stay with a host family for the night, a local expert historian. At the back of their house, they have their own private river! 

Day 2 : Kulen Mountain-Siem Reap

After breakfast, guests have the option to trek deeper into the Kulen Mountains for two hours or to explore more of the national park by more challenging motorbike routes. We stand in awe of the life size elephant and lion statues.  From here, we circle around the mountain by single tracks to visit one or two more temples, taking four hours to explore.   We descend the mountain and travel back to Siem Reap, making a few secret stops along the way.
